The artists, framers and small creative shops around Rugby are part of its cultural economy.
They make things, sell other people's work, repair and frame it, teach skills and give residents somewhere other than a national platform to discover creative work.
Understead makes that local creative layer easier to see.
Why these local makers are here
A place is partly made by the people who grow there, make there, trade there and give residents a way to buy something from somebody nearby rather than from an anonymous supply chain.
Understead makes those people visible enough to use.
