Witham and District (Essex) u3a runs 24 groups around Witham (Essex).
Witham and District (Essex) u3a brings lively minded older people together to share friendship, knowledge, skills and experience. Activities run in groups that meet in members' homes, outdoors or in public halls, each with a volunteer coordinator, and the range is wide, taking in creative writing, music appreciation, board and card games and rambling both locally and further afield. The committee welcomes suggestions for new groups and gives financial support where needed. Monthly meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of the month, apart from December, at Witham Town Football Club Hall on Spa Road, Witham, at 2pm, usually with a guest speaker and with tea and coffee supplied. The November meeting includes the branch annual general meeting.
