Leigh Estuary u3a offers learning and activities for mature age people in and around Leigh on Sea, with the chance to learn, to teach or simply to share what members already know. Its interest groups cover card playing, music, painting, travel and languages among much else, and anyone keen to do something the branch does not yet cover is encouraged to start a new group. The branch also holds a monthly speaker meeting.
