Where: Various, Dartford
A friendly group ambling a couple of miles or so in the countryside on the fourth Friday of the month, generally walking for between an hour and an hour and a half and usually ending at a cafe or pub for refreshments. Summer walks start earlier, at 10am, because of the heat. Some ambles can be reached by public transport, others only by car, and lifts may be possible for those without transport. Recent ambles have gone through Camer Park, around the Bridge community in Dartford, through Trosley Country Park for early bluebells and anemones, from Greenhithe to Bluewater, and through unfamiliar parts of Darenth and Sutton at Hone. Attendance runs to five or ten people.
- Newcomers Part of belonging to the group is the requirement to recce and lead an amble in turn, and the leaders are happy to help with a practice run
