A small group with a reasonable grasp of French who want to improve their understanding and communication by listening and speaking in a friendly and helpful environment. Each week the group leader introduces various subjects for consideration and discussion, usually involving both vocabulary and grammar, so members can improve their listening and understanding as well as practise speaking and pronunciation. Many members had not studied French since their school days, while others spend time in France on holiday or at a second home. The group meets at Colville House on Thursdays from 10am until noon.
