Where: Sandy Lodge Hotel, Newquay
A social bridge group playing Acol duplicate bridge in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, usually with up to 16 members playing in fours. At the end of each hand everyone lays their cards face up and the group goes through the bidding and whether a better contract could have been reached. Bridge has similarities with whist, so a knowledge of whist is helpful, with the added interest of bidding for a contract. It meets every Wednesday from 2pm until 4pm at the Sandy Lodge Hotel.
- Newcomers Beginners are welcome and are given some guidance and started off on their first visit. Members play with different people each week, so it is possible to join without a partner.
- Cost, as stated 25 Aug 2026 Free, though members are asked to buy a drink.
