Astronomy

Members of this astronomy group give short presentations on subjects that interest them, such as the night sky, planets and galaxies, and watch short videos, both of which lead into discussion that shapes the next meeting. Relevant information and internet links are circulated between meetings so members can follow topics up themselves. The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 2pm at the Silver Jubilee Hall in Down Thomas, and also holds evening star gazing meetings on an ad hoc basis, depending on the weather and on what is visible.
