The Black prince trust is an activity provider.
A class is more than a slot in a timetable.
It might be somebody teaching yoga in the village hall, a potter opening their studio twice a week, a dance teacher building a school from scratch, or a music teacher making a living one pupil at a time.
These are small pieces of the economy and culture of a place. They create work, skills, friendships, reasons to leave the house and reasons for a town to feel like itself.
Local clubs and instructors do more than run classes. They create places where skills are taught, confidence grows and people keep coming back.
The problem is that independent providers rarely have the advertising budgets, search authority or platform reach of the organisations competing for the same attention.
Understead is trying to change the balance by making the independent people already doing the work easier to find.
Find them here. Go directly to them. Help keep more of the life of your place rooted there.
Providers run very different sessions, from fitness boxing to technical coaching. We only label a format where the coach advertises it. Looking for kickboxing? That lives under Martial Arts.
Many boxing providers run beginner or introductory sessions that teach stance, movement, basic technique and fitness before progressing further. Look for classes explicitly marked for beginners rather than assuming every session is suitable.
Boxing prices vary between group classes, club sessions and one-to-one coaching. Where providers publish current prices, Understead shows them on the listing.
Where possible, Understead shows the provider's own current price rather than sending you through a marketplace that obscures who is actually providing the class.
Boxing focuses specifically on striking with the hands, movement and boxing technique. If you're looking for kickboxing, karate, BJJ or another combat discipline, browse Martial Arts.
Understead is built around the places people live, so these listings focus on providers you can attend locally. Some local teachers also offer online sessions; where they do, you'll find that on their listing.
If you're one of the independent people doing this locally, Understead is meant to include you.
Add your business or claim the page we've already started. Show people nearby what you teach, where you run it, when it happens and how to reach you.
We want residents to find you because you're relevant to their place, not because you can afford to outspend somebody else.
Your own website, socials, contact details and booking routes stay visible.

Yes, many coaches run beginner or introductory sessions covering stance, movement and basic technique. Look for sessions explicitly marked for beginners; not every class is.
Group classes and one-to-one coaching are priced very differently, and clubs may charge per session or by membership. Where a provider publishes current prices, Understead shows them on the listing.
Some coaches explicitly offer private one-to-one sessions alongside group classes. Understead only labels one-to-one coaching where the coach advertises it: their listing says how to book.
Boxing uses the hands only; kickboxing adds strikes with the legs and sits under Martial Arts on Understead. If you want kickboxing, browse the Martial Arts category.
There is probably more being taught around you than you realise.
Enter your town or postcode, choose how far you'd like to look, and find the independent people doing it nearby.
Know your place. Take part in it. Support the people who make it what it is.
