Basildon and Billericay u3a, formed in 1989, is open to members in Basildon, Billericay, Wickford and the surrounding areas, with nearly fifty interest groups meeting mostly in members' homes or local halls. Monthly meetings at the Canon Roche Centre bring a guest speaker followed by refreshments and a chat, with monthly newsletters for all members.
- Newcomers Non members are welcome at up to two monthly meetings for a small charge
- Cost, as stated 25 Aug 2026 Membership £15 a year, £10 if joining after 1 October
